Sorry for the extra day, but I was really wiped all weekend, it was a very busy weekend. I had some time after work today however, so I recorded the third episode. This is a wine that I really enjoyed while I was on holidays, I think that everyone would benefit from trying it out. This wine would be especially good for those who don’t drink white wine very often (or at all), as I have turned a lot of heads with this wine. By that I mean that many people who have been self classified as “not white wine drinkers” have decided to give white wine another shot.

Again, please leave comments (now that they finally work), I really do want to know what everyone thinks of this new show that I am doing. I am really enjoying it so far, but I want to know what everyone else would like to see. That means comments, criticisms, suggestions, ideas, ANYTHING!

Another episode ready for you. And this time it’s not just on this blog, that’s right, my video podcast is up and running now. I also managed to fix an aspect ratio in the videos that i have posted. Viddler, thankfully, didn’t show the problem, but the ipod video files looked pretty stretched. Anyways, it is all fixed now and I look forward to the next episode, which should be done for Sunday evening.

In this episode I taste a random wine that caught my eye from the Spain/Portugal section in the store by my house.

A lot of people are clueless about the wine scoring system, and that is not meant to be harsh in the least.  The truth is that, myself included, the wine scoring system just seems like a number applied to wine to rate it’s appeal.  A more detailed explanation is that certain ranges represent the appeal of the wine given the criteria of that range.

So to ease everyone’s mind, here are some links that provide some insightful information to wine scoring.

Personally, I need to brush up on the tasting descriptors.  But for other amateur wine tasters, you may enjoy reading the how to at Cork’d, it was very useful to me when learning how to taste wine.
